About the Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship Fund
Established in 2006, the purpose of the Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship Fund is to support residents of the Northwest Territories who are pursuing post-secondary studies in the fields of Fine and Performing Arts.Ā
Application process
Individuals interested in applying must create a profile on our scholarship application portal. Once your profile is created, you will need to complete our eligibility quiz and then submit a scholarship application to the Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship Fund.
Applications will be made available during our scholarship intake season, in April/May 2024.

The Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 to assist Ecole Sir John Franklin High School graduating students pursuing post-secondary studies in the performing arts, film, music or writing.Ā
In 2022, the Fund was adapted to be open to all students and residents from the Northwest Territories pursuing post-secondary studies in the fields of Fine and Performing Arts.Ā

In order to be eligible to apply for the Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship Fund, you must be:
- A resident of the Northwest Territories for at least 12 consecutive months
- Pursuing post-secondary studies focused on the Fine and Performing Arts
All of our scholarship application forms and additional materials need to be submitted on our scholarship application portal.
- You will complete a questionnaire describing what Fine and Performing Arts activities you are involved in, how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals
- An arts portfolio (videos, photos, etc) highlighting your participation in your Fine and Performing Arts activity with your school or community
- A personal reflection of your portfolio (by the way of written statement or video submission)
- You must provide a letter of reference from a teacher, mentor, or leader from the arts community. Their letter must contain:
- a recommendation and reasons why they are recommending you for this scholarship
- a confirmation of your involvement and experience in the fine and performing arts
- the reference’s constructive feedback on the portfolio you are submitting
You must be an eligible resident to apply for a scholarship.
As such, YKCF requires you to make a residency declaration and have a witness sign off.
However, you do not need to print out any forms!
Each residency declaration is a one-click question embedded within the application process.
You just need to provide the email address of your residency witness, and they will be emailed directly.
You can only apply through our online application portal. In 2024, the application portal opens on April 2nd.
