About the Resilient Communities Fund
Our northern communities are resilient.
The Resilient Communities Fund was established in 2020 with the purpose of supporting communities across the Northwest Territories in long-term recovery efforts to rebuild after emergency response and environmental crisis.
2023 was a record-breaking year for wildfires in the Northwest Territories, and communities across our territory are in need of support to rebuild from the devastation and aftermath of recent wildfires.
Funding is available to municipalities and registered charitable organizations across the Northwest Territories that have been affected by recent wildfires and emergency. Grants are available for initiatives that aim to support recovery and rebuilding. Grants from the Resilient Communities Fund will not support response efforts.
For municipalities and registered charitable organizations that are interested in applying, please contact the Yellowknife Communities at +1-867-446-4527 or information@ykcf.ca to discuss your community’s needs. YKCF recognizes the needs of each community can vary, and are looking to facilitate oral applications and meetings to reduce the administrative barrier on communities.
Thank you to our generous corporate and Foundation donors who have donated to support communities across the Northwest Territories affected by wildfire.
